On your own Wi-Fi, Tether needs nothing. To reach your PC from anywhere else, ask for a free code below. It lasts 30 days from the first time you use it, and you have 90 days to start using it.

A code switches on remote access for 30 days, counted from the first time you use it. When it ends, use on your own network carries on exactly as before.

Four devices, in any mix
What one code covers at any one time, connecting from away. Two computers and two phones, or one computer and three phones, whichever suits you. On your own Wi-Fi there is no limit. Nothing is tied to particular hardware, so swap devices whenever you like.
No trackers, even here
Nothing on this page loads from anyone else’s servers. Not even the fonts.

How to get a free code for remote access

Leave your email and the code arrives straight away.

We keep your email only to send your code. One email, nothing else, ever. Never sold, and never given to anyone except the service that delivers the message. You can have your address deleted any time. Press remove me and we'll email that address a link that deletes it. The same link is in your code email. What we hold is in the Privacy Policy.

What happens after you ask

  1. We email you a code
  2. Save the code That code is what switches remote access on.
  3. Paste the code into Tether Open Tether on your PC (download it below if you haven’t yet). The Licence panel is the last thing at the bottom of the window: paste the code in there and press Activate.
  4. Paste the same code on your phone Open Tether on the phone and put the same code in there. Both devices need it, and one code covers both.

All of it is free. The code above is only for reaching your PC away from your own network, including hotel and office Wi-Fi.

Not on Google Play where you live, or no Play Store? The app file works on Android 7.0 or newer.

On a work or school computer that asks for an administrator password, use the version that installs just for you instead. It never asks for one, and the only thing it leaves out is signing in to Windows from your phone.
